A better way to travel
With its advanced aerodynamic styling, the 2016 Murano still looks like a concept car, even though this is the second year this model has been on the market. All of its curves and kinks make it stand apart from the crowded field of utilitarian crossovers and SUVs, some of which look more like cargo boxes on wheels. Inside it has upscale materials that are a cut above the competition, with a premium interior that’s focused on comfort, connectivity and communication.
At the center of the dash, the Advanced Drive-Assist Display has a 7-inch high-definition color screen to command things like the available Bose 11-speaker sound system, HD radio, satellite radio and navigation. Zero Gravity seats make every passenger feel like they’re sitting in the captain’s chair. Under the hood there’s plenty of performance with a 3.5-liter V6 making 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. Despite the grunt, it still gets 20 percent better gas mileage than the previous generation Murano.View Inventory
Setting the standard for midsize crossovers
The 2016 Murano has lots of ways to keep driver and passengers safe with its advanced warning systems. Cameras and radar work around the clock to provide blind spot warning, predictive forward collision warning, forward emergency braking, intelligent cruise control, rear cross traffic alert, around view monitor and moving object detection. All are designed to keep passengers and cargo safe, and there’s quite a bit of space for both. The Murano can convert from people carrier to cargo hauler in seconds, with all configurations done from the back for greater convenience. There’s tons of space regardless of whether the seats are up or folded down.
With its already concept-car-like styling and best-in-class interior, the Murano hasn’t changed much for 2016. Take one for a spin at Matt Castrucci Nissan in Dayton, Ohio, and you’ll see why it’s hard to improve on crossover perfection.
