All-wheel drive 2016 Nissan Maxima

All-wheel drive, engine options could be ahead for Nissan Maxima

The 2016 Nissan Maxima only just went on sale, but there’s already talk of even better things for the luxurious four-door sports car. In fact, an all-wheel drive 2016 Nissan Maxima with new safety features could be right around the corner. So what exactly is Nissan dreaming up for this incredible sedan, such as is an all-wheel drive 2016 Nissan Maxima in the works? Here’s a closer look.

Hybrid 2016 Nissan Maxima?

It could be possible. Currently the 2016 Nissan Maxima is only available with a V-6 engine, but that could change. Competitors like the 2016 Toyota Avalon and the 2016 Acura RLX both have hybrid options. In addition, other competitors offer a variety of engine options. While there’s no sign that additional options for the 2016 Nissan Maxima will be available in the near future, it’s something that might come up down the road.

Is the 2016 Nissan Maxima all-wheel drive?

Not currently, although Nissan has hinted it’s something that could be available in the future. Today, the 2016 Nissan Maxima is only available with front-wheel drive while many competitors have both a front-wheel and all-wheel drive option. We anticipate that we’ll see an all-wheel drive Nissan Maxima in the future. When that will be, only time will tell.

Could a full-size Maxima be coming?

While the 2016 Nissan Maxima is larger than the 2015 Nissan Altima, it sounds like there are no plans to expand the entry-level luxury sedan in the full-size segment. Truly the 2016 Nissan Maxima is a trendsetter, just like the sharp-looking 2015 Nissan Murano. And with crossover and compact vehicles becoming more and more popular, it’s no wonder the full-size sedan segment is only getting smaller. Plan to continue to see the Nissan Maxima rock the entry-level luxury sedan segment.

The brand new 2016 Nissan Maxima is here to stay and this luxury sedan has all the features drivers are looking for in a premium sedan. Ready to start exploring the 2016 Nissan Maxima today? Contact the team at Matt Castrucci Nissan to get started with a test drive.
