2016 Nissan Maxima interior and engine
Production of the 2016 Nissan Maxima has officially started and we couldn’t be more excited. On April 21 Nissan launched production of the new sedan at the Smyrna Assembly and Battery Plant in Tennessee. Packed with a luxurious interior and powerful engine, the 2016 Nissan Maxima made its grand debut at the New York International Auto Show. It’s the eighth-generation Maxima and Nissan set out to make the first day of production a grand one. It was the greatest indoor parade and it was glorious.
The Tennessee State University marching band led the Smyrna plant employees through the buildings in a grand celebration. Inside the plant the 2016 Nissan Maxima was unveiled in a grand event with lights, music and confetti. If the 2016 Maxima’s unveiling at the New York International Auto Show wasn’t enough to prove that Nissan really knows how to show off a new vehicle.
Nissan first came to Tennessee over 30 years ago and today one-third of the manufacturing jobs in Tennessee are auto-related. The first Maxima built in the U.S. was created at the Smyrna plant in 2013 and today the plant has a total of around 800,000 Maximas built. In addition to the Maxima, the Smyrna plant produces six different Nissan models.
The new 2016 Nissan Maxima is built with the luxury buyer in mind and offers a high-end, high-performance driving for less than the cost of a luxury vehicle. With new technology, a luxurious interior and improved engine, the 2016 Nissan Maxima is a force on the road. We anticipate having the 2016 Nissan Maxima in the Matt Castrucci Nissan showroom early this summer. The current starting MSRP is $32,410.
