Hybrid technology is only becoming more popular and for good reason. Hybrid vehicles are fuel efficient and are just as powerful, if not more so, than their gasoline-powered counterparts. Nissan is continuing to move in this direction and debuted the Nissan Murano Hybrid at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. The 2015 Nissan Murano recently showed off its innovative safety technology in crash tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) only to be recognized as a top performer. In a new round of small-overlap front crash tests conducted by the IIHS seven popular SUVs and crossover vehicles were tested, but the results were mixed, the IIHS reported.
